There are so many people in this valley, but we are looking for the stars; the people who have been prepared to hear our message.
This
week I went on an exchange and was blessed enough to meet one of these
stars. Estrella was a referral from the Hermanas at temple square. She
was in SLC a few weeks back and wanted to visit the temple. She almost
didn't, she found out that her grandmother was sick, making her a
little depressed and not interested in much. Also it looked like rain.
But then the sun came out.
The Hermanas found her and her friends walking around and took them
on a tour. She loved the Christ statue. Anyway, my Hermana training
leaders received her referral and set up a cita for Saturday morning,
(while I was there for the exchange). We found the apartment so easy
and when she opened up the door she looked thrilled to see us. She had
set the table so that we could join her in eating pie for breakfast.
Throughout the cita we could see that she was genuinely interested and
was excited to learn!
We spent the last few days figuring out how we are going to find the stars that are here in our area. We are so excited!
We
met another kind of star on that exchange. In fact we knocked on his
door. Julian Smith. If you don't know who he is look up his videos on You-tube. They are hilarious! I forget that I am living in North
Hollywood sometimes...
